Tinsley releases new '1975' EP, March 2024

With the help of Anthony Sapp (bass), Steve Allison (drums), a little dash of James Hook (bg vox), and with Brian Baker at the helm turning all the knobs, Tinsley gives 3-new dark and moody grungy jams.

Track 1, ‘Painless Resurrection’, with its ghostly harmonies and brooding delivery gets the opening spot and covers the rough territory of bouncing back after heartbreak.

Coming in on Track 2 is the haunting biographical jam, ‘1975’ which delves into Tinsley's past and features an unkowningly recorded monologue by his mother, Sherry Rice, telling the story of where they lived and the overall conditions at Tinsley's birth in…well…1975 of course.

Track 3, ‘Sick…But In a Good Way’ deals with the difficulties and final acceptance of learning to march to your own beat, and accepting who you are when you're ‘original’.

"All these tracks are a departure from my other stuff that's out there, in that they are grungy and without any sort of Texas or earthy ‘twang’ what-so-ever.  These were written to give me a different kind of ‘the feels ‘, and this was a 100%, self-indulgent venture.  I know it’s ironic but I'm super happy with the overall level of moodiness and texture on this EP and hope other people appreciate these tunes as much as I do."  - Ronnie Dean Tinsley
